Bartolomé Island tour itinerary
The trip starts from Santa Cruz Island. After a 35-minute journey by shuttle from Puerto Ayora, you reach the Itabaca Channel. The staff of the boat will be waiting to take you on board, where a certified guide will explain what you will see during the excursion. While sailing, you will spot the beautiful Daphne Island, the natural habitat of several birds such as: blue-footed boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, other tropical birds, and many frigates that fly around. Don't forget to bring your camera! A two-hour sailing trip takes you to the beautiful Bartolomé Island. The hike begins at the base of the stairs that will take you to the summit of the extinct volcano. As you climb, you will get delighted by the beautiful landscapes that this island has to offer.

It takes about 45 minutes to reach the summit of the volcano, so bring comfortable clothes and shoes with you. From the top, you will enjoy the worldwide famous view, so have your camera at hand to capture the moment. The guide will explain about the geological formations and the flora seen on the island. After taking photographs, you will take the wooden stair down to the base of the volcano, where the crew will be waiting to take you on board for a short boat tour around the Pinnacle.

Snorkeling in Sullivan Bay
Sullivan Bay is in front of Bartolome Island on Santiago Island, here snorkeling is done in its clear waters, you can find several tropical fish, whitetip reef sharks, sea turtles and in cold season you can observe the Galapagos penguins. We recommend having a waterproof camera. After the tour, the guide will take you to the boat where the crew awaits you with a delicious lunch; after which it is time to take you back to the Itabaca Channel and finally to Puerto Ayora. Do not miss this great adventure offered by Bartolomé Island!
